Vespa Rental Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Agreement") govern the rental of Vespa scooters and related equipment ("Vehicle") provided by Sorella's Mopeds and Sidecars ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By reserving, renting, or operating a Vehicle, you ("Renter," "you," or "your") agree to these terms.

1. Eligibility & License Requirements

  • Renter must be at least 21 years old.

  • Renter must hold a valid driver’s license with motorcycle endorsement if required by state law.

  • Renter must present a valid government-issued ID and a valid credit/debit card.

2. Reservation & Payment

  • Full payment (or deposit if applicable) is due at the time of booking.

  • Rental fees are charged per hour/day as stated at booking.

  • Late returns may incur additional charges.

3. Security Deposit

  • A refundable security deposit of $[amount] may be required.

  • The deposit may be used to cover damages, excessive cleaning, lost equipment, traffic violations, or late fees.

4. Use of Vehicle

You agree to:

  • Operate the Vehicle safely and responsibly at all times.

  • Follow all traffic laws and regulations.

  • Not allow anyone else to operate the Vehicle unless approved by Company.

  • Not use the Vehicle for racing, stunts, off-road riding, or illegal activities.

  • Not operate the Vehicle under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or impairing substances.

5. Safety & Protective Gear

  • Helmet use is [required/recommended] and provided upon request.

  • Renter assumes all risks associated with operating the Vehicle.

  • Company strongly encourages the use of additional protective gear.

6. Damage, Loss & Theft

  • Renter is financially responsible for any damage, loss, or theft of the Vehicle during the rental period.

  • In the event of an accident, theft, or damage, Renter must notify Company immediately and file a police report if required.

7. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellations made [e.g., 24 hours] before the rental start time receive a full refund.

  • Cancellations within [timeframe] may be subject to a cancellation fee.

  • No refunds for early returns or no-shows.

8. Mechanical Issues

  • If the Vehicle becomes unsafe to ride due to mechanical failure (not caused by Renter), contact Company immediately.

  • Do not attempt repairs yourself without approval.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • Renter acknowledges that operating a scooter involves inherent risks.

  • Company is not liable for injuries, accidents, lost personal property, or damages arising from use of the Vehicle, except as required by law.

10. Indemnification

Renter agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Company, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or legal actions arising from Renter’s use of the Vehicle.

11. Privacy

Any personal information collected during booking will be used only for rental purposes and handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

12. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas.

13. Agreement Acknowledgment

By booking a rental, Renter acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service.
